That's a waste of BACON!

In January-February of 2011, South Korea buried approximately 3 million pigs... ALIVE! The reason for this massive burial of live pigs and piglets was because the pigs were spreading a disease called the "foot-and-mouth disease" to other pigs which cost South Korean farmers over $1 billion, since it affected South Korea's ability to export meat. Here is the video of this disgusting animal cruelty:


At first, I thought the reason why they didn't kill the pigs humanely was because it was too costly. But after doing some research, I found that if the killed the pigs humanely, it would have cost South Korea $100 million, as to having them buried alive, which cost them close to $365 million... so money wasn't the issue.

South Korea is not the only country which engaged in this cruel practice, Egypt had done the exact same thing in 2009, burying over 250,000 pigs in fear that they will spread swine flu.
